Acts 2:46,47

And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.
Acts 2:46-47 (ESV)

When I read these two verses, I picture what an ideal day would look like for Christians. They go to church, they share meals, they praise God, and they get along with one another. It seems pretty simple, but we tend to make life a lot more complicated than that. My time here at IGNITE has shown me all the areas in my life that I tend to overcomplicate. While I am here, although we are busy, we tend to keep our days centered around these four things. While I find myself worn out and exhausted sometimes, I'm able to be refreshed much easier. My tired and grumpy mood is quickly turned around by a impromptu worship song, prayer, or an uplifting conversation with a classmate.
Obviously our days typically involve many responsibilities and chores that need to be done. Here, for example, we have class, homework, outreaches, kitchen patrol, chores, bible study, etc. But even though we are busy with these things, we still pray throughout the day, have chapel on Thursday nights, eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner together, and spend time in fellowship, getting to know each other better. I believe that because we are faithful in these four areas here at IGNITE, God blesses us with this refreshment we so often need. This is a lesson I will take with me out into the mission field, as well as for the rest of my life.
